The Object of the game is to match a path with a quadrant of four algebraic expressions that will produce a given answer. You are shown two Quadrants, each contains four numbers or algebraic expressions. Below the Quadrants are three PATHS. Each path has a starting point (shown by arrow) and operation symbols on each path segment. You need to decide which Path when applied over a Quadrant will result in the resulting answer given in the top box. From the starting point, move along the path and perform the operation shown (Add or Subtract) on each path segment as applied to the chosen Quadrant of algebraic expressions to arrive at the given answer. To match a Path to a Quadrant, click on a Path and drag it on top a Quadrant. Once the Path is predominantly over a Quadrant it will snap in place. You commit to your selection by clicking once more on the path and releasing the mouse button. Until you commit, you can change your mind and move the Path to the other Quadrant or back to it's dock by clicking on it and dragging it to your intended spot. You can also replace a Path back to its dock by clicking on the blank dock. There are three rounds, with 15 games in each round. As you progress, you will be presented with increasing levels of challenge:
Earn 60 points for each correct match for a maximum of 360 points per game. There are six levels, with a level change every 60 points. A game ends when you earn the maximum 360 points or when you make a certain number of mistakes.
A mistake is shown as a red X in the middle just above the quadrants. At the end of each game, points are converted to stickers per the scoring schedule shown above. You can earn a maximum of 360 stickers in this module.
